Want to get involved?

Volunteering for door duty is a fantastic way to:

  • Enjoy free entry to Friday nights *
  • Meet fellow jazz and dance enthusiasts
  • Contribute to the vibrant club atmosphere
What does door duty involve?
  • Welcoming guests
  • Accepting payments (card or cash)
  • Selling raffle tickets during the first band break
  • Cashing up before the start of the third set
  • Preparing for the raffle draw during the middle session
Don't worry, it's very easy and we'll provide all the necessary training and support

*Not only do you get free entry on the night, but you also get a free pass for any future Jazz 'n Jive event!!

What can we say? Expect lots of great New Orleans and early Jazz music from this fantastic and well-loved ensemble which plays regularly in Edinburgh, Scotland and across the UK.

This quintet is led by Italian vocalist Ann Vanosi, who regularly performs Blues and Jazz Music in Edinburgh. Expect a nice range of danceable Jazz tunes, including the occasional Italian ballad.

Clarinettist Dick Kee will join us with his new Jazz band, the Swing Scoundrels. Expect fantastically swing Jazz with arrangements especially suited for dancing Swing, Jive, Foxtrot and more

Cornetist Mike Daly's sextet plays only the best Dixieland & New Orleans Jazz, great for listening and dancing Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Foxtrot and Jive.

Fantastic trumpeter Colin Steele will return with his Kings of Swing to provide excellent Jazz tunes of the Swing era - great for dancing and listening alike!

A septet exploring Dixieland/New Orleans and swinging Jazz through their own wonderful arrangements, transcriptions and compositions, from slow ballads to fast dacen tunes
